About.

Throughout history, human-kind has been marking the earth with colossal, curious, and cryptic yet precise geometries. Some have clear functions, while others are crafted for spiritual purposes. Some are experienced from the earth, while others can only be appreciated from the cosmos. Some are temporary, while others are more permanent. But, across time, culture, and purpose, these captivating creations share two things in common — rules and rope.

In order to decode the mysteries behind these creations, a team of passionate investigators are creating new drawings today. The purpose of this exercise is not only to discover the rules of the previous creations, but to better understand the value of this baffling, yet prolific obsession of human-kind.

This is where you enter into this history; to be a part of this eternal exercise.

You are invited to join the Crop Circle Kit Group, a contemporary coalition that is keeping the ancient practice of rule-based geometries alive. Your mission: to make a colossal mark of your own on the earth. In this kit, you will find carefully crafted instruments that will aid you in your mission. The only limitation you face is your imagination.

First, let’s introduce you to some of the terms we use around this website

Glossary:

Crop Circles: We don’t limit our kit to colossal creations made of crops. Instead ‘crop circles’ has become a term to refer to gargantuan geometries of any kind made from a myriad of methods.

Manifestation (methods): Manifestation methods are the manner through which a drawing is made apparent on its surface, or in other words, how one of these colossal constructions manifests.

String-based Geometry: These introduce you to not only the euclidian construction of drawings, but a more scaleable manner of analog geometrical construction: how, with string and some friends, complex figures can be etched onto drawing surfaces the size of a desk or much, much larger.

Tracings: ‘Tracings’ refers to colossal creations that exist or have existed. This section delves into brief analyses of a small selection of these constructions, giving you a small taste of whats out there. This is the tapas of immense examples.

Let’s dive a little deeper.

This website has been designed so you can start wherever you choose, depending on how you want to shape your colossal creation, and which aspects are the most critical to you. You can start by perusing either the tracings, geometries, or manifestation methods.

You can combine these pieces in infinite combinations and the material we have included here is only the tip of the iceberg, the very edge of a massive font of crop circle knowledge.
