Straight Line
A straight line is the shortest distance between two points. This might be called a geodesic when referring to the shortest distance between two points on a surface.
Euclid referred to a lines as “breadthless length”. In other words, a line is one dimensional. It has no width or height.

01. Secure one end of a length of string or rope at a given point.
02. Extend the length of string or rope from the starting point and secure the other end at a second point.
03. Travel down the length of string or rope. Using the string or rope as a guide make a mark of some kind as you go.
04. You have created a line!
