Perpendicular Lines
There are many ways to construct perpendicular lines. Here we go through perhaps the most generic condition where you simply would like two lines that are perpendicular to one another. Explore perpendicular lines at a given point and 90 degree angle for other examples of perpendicularity. There are even more out there!
Scroll down to step through the instructions.
01. Start with a line.
02. Select a point along this line and draw a circular arc.
03. Select a second point along this line and draw a second circular arc, such that the first and second arcs intersect at two points.
04. Identify the points of intersection of the two arcs and draw a line that passes through them.
05. You have drawn two perpendicular lines!
